This course is aimed at GPNS and AHP and advanced practitioners.
Systems workshops are open to all health professionals that are assessing, triaging, and managing patients in primary care. This workshop will help to build or refresh your systematic history taking and examination skills within first contact diagnosis and care.
This workshop will provide delegates with an opportunity to refresh and improve their knowledge and skills in ENT assessment. In addition, latest medications and treatment pathways/ NICE guidance will be discussed.
The day will be interactive and there will be an informal opportunity for participants to share practice.
Course Content
- Understand the principles of systematic history taking and specific history taking for an ENT presentation
- Have an awareness of ‘red flags’, medications, treatment pathways and differential diagnoses in acute and chronic ENT presentation
- Improve knowledge and skills on how to examine the ENT system
- Improve competence regarding appropriate referral
