This paediatric update is recommended for Advanced PNs and ANPs who are triaging and managing minor illness in children within a Primary Care environment. Provided by an advanced practice paediatric nurse, this day will refresh your current level of skills and knowledge to improve confidence in assessment and management of paediatric presentations.

The day will focus on refreshing history and assessment skills, with exploration of common paediatric respiratory and abdominal conditions.

Using a blend of case studies, quizzes and group work you will gain knowledge on a range of paediatric presentations. You will leave this course with a greater awareness of appropriate paediatric diagnostics, with safety netting for “red flags”  in children.

Management plans and therapeutics will also be discussed with updated resources and tools to support assessment.
