This course is designed for those experienced HCAs and NAs who are looking to review their current practice and update their clinical knowledge and existing skills. It is best practice that competencies are updated annually, especially infection control and immunisations and doing this provides evidence for both the employer and CQC.

On this day you will be provided with a hard back portfolio folder, unique to you and ready to update and populate. All necessary documents will be provided and you will take this back to the workplace to evidence your learning and provision of safe, effective care.
This interactive workshop day will cover a number of key topics, refreshing your knowledge on several core subjects and includes annual update training for infection control and immunisations.
You will receive a competency framework for each area of learning to update your portfolio. Using a blend of resources such as quizzes, case studies and group discussion, the teaching will be both fun and informative.
